Deuteronomy 12:23 (NLT)

23 But never consume the blood, for the blood is the life, and you must not consume the lifeblood with the meat.

John 6:54-56 (NLT) – Jesus said ~

54 But anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life (Greek word zóé) , and I will raise that person at the last day. 55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56 Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.

Transliteration: zóé
Phonetic Spelling: (dzo-ay’)

In the Greek New Testament, zoe has a special meaning. It speaks of the life that is given by God through Christ Jesus to those who believe the gospel.

There are no cells in the human body that can live without continual contact with life-giving blood.

~ There is not one person in all of creation who can experience true life without constant contact with the life-giving blood of Jesus!

Colossians 3:3 (NLT)

For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.

The blood in the human body is truly a “living entity” – if you examine it under a microscope, it is literally teeming with life!

Every type of cell, from the ones that survive only moments to those that live for many years, owes its life to the flow of blood. All three types of cells in human blood—red cells, white cells, and platelets—perform functions that are essential to life.

  1. Red Blood Cells –

Known for their bright red color, red cells are the most abundant cell in the blood, accounting for about 40-45 percent of its volume.

Red cells contain a special protein called hemoglobin, which helps carry oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body and then returns carbon dioxide from the body to the lungs so it can be exhaled.

Genesis 2:7 (NLT)

Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.

2 Corinthians 3:6 (NLT)

He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.

~ Just as The Father spoke life into us – the blood of Jesus empowers us to speak life to those around us!

John 20:21-22 (NLT)

21 Again he said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” 22 Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

1 Corinthians 2:13 (NLT)

13 When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.

The blood of Jesus brings us pure oxygen straight from Heaven  – The Father breathing on us.

Proverbs 10:11 (NLT)

11 The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain;

Proverbs 15:4 (NLT)

Gentle words are a tree of life;

John 12:49-50 (NLT)

49 I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it. 50 And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say.”

  1. White Blood Cells –

White blood cells protect the body from infection. They are much fewer in number than red blood cells, accounting for about 1 percent of your blood.

White blood cells help to provide defense to the body by digesting microorganisms and cellular debris. They also provide immunity to disease by producing antibodies.

Where red blood cells bring life – white blood cells protect that life by attacking invaders!

1 Peter 5:8 (NLT)

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Ephesians 6:12-13 (NLT)

12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

“The blood of Jesus Christ and His mighty name are an antidote to all the subtle seeds of unbelief that Satan would sow in your minds.”

  1. Platelets –

Unlike red and white blood cells, platelets are not actually cells but rather small fragments of cells. Platelets help the blood clotting process (or coagulation) by gathering at the site of an injury, sticking to the lining of the injured blood vessel, and forming a platform on which blood coagulation can occur. This results in the formation of a fibrin clot, which covers the wound and prevents blood from leaking out. Fibrin also forms the initial scaffolding upon which new tissue forms, thus promoting healing.

Isaiah 53:5 (ESV)

But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 (ESV)

24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

The blood of Jesus carries the supernatural platelets of healing for every sickness in every person!

  • How can God choose not to heal someone when He already purchased their healing?
  • Was His blood enough for all sin, or just certain sins?
  • Were the stripes He bore only for certain illnesses, or certain seasons of time?
  • When He bore stripes in His body He made a payment for our miracle. He released the “supernatural platelets” for ALL to receive!

Bill Johnson says ~

He already decided to heal. You can’t decide not to buy something after you’ve already bought it.

Mark 16:17-18 (ESV)

17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

  1. Plasma –

The liquid component of blood is called plasma. Plasma serves as the transportation medium for the other major components of blood. Plasma is a mixture of water, sugar, fat, protein, and salts. The main job of the plasma is to transport blood cells throughout your body along with nutrients, waste products, antibodies, clotting proteins, chemical messengers such as hormones, and proteins that help maintain the body’s fluid balance.

Colossians 1:15-20 (NLT)

15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.
He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,
16 for through him God created everything
in the heavenly realms and on earth.
He made the things we can see
and the things we can’t see—
such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world.
Everything was created through him and for him.
17 He existed before anything else,
and he holds all creation together.
18 Christ is also the head of the church,
which is his body.
He is the beginning,
supreme over all who rise from the dead.
So he is first in everything.
19 For God in all his fullness
was pleased to live in Christ,
20 and through him God reconciled
everything to himself.
He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth
by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

Just like human blood contains everything we need for a healthy and thriving body – The Blood of Jesus is the complete package for the Body of Christ!
