The Orphan Spirit

The enemy wants us to live in the condition that he is forever trapped in.

Behavior follows identity.

Romans 12:2 (NLT) Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.

Ephesians 1 3Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father. 4Even before he made the world, God loved us and 5decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. 8He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. 11 Because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God 13And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit.

1Corinthians 1 [God] 4has given you such free and open access to his grace through your union with Jesus. 5In him you have been made extravagantly rich in every way. You have been endowed with a wealth of inspired utterance and the riches that come from your intimate knowledge of him. 7So now you aren’t lacking any spiritual gift as you eagerly await the unveiling of the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One.

Galatians 3 26You have all become true children of God by the faith of Jesus the Anointed One!    27It was faith that immersed you into Jesus, and now you are covered and clothed with his anointing. 29And since you’ve been united to Jesus the Messiah, you are now Abraham’s “child” and inherit all the promises of the kingdom realm!

4 5God sent [Jesus] to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. 6 And so that we would know for sure that we are his true children, God released the Spirit of Sonship into our hearts—moving us to cry out intimately, “My Father! You’re our true Father!” 7Now we’re no longer living like slaves under the law, but we enjoy being God’s very own sons and daughters! And because we’re his, we can access everything our Father has—for we are heirs of God through Jesus, the Messiah!

Colossians 2:10 you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
