John 16:7(NASB) But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
Paraklétosmeaning: Advocate, Intercessor, Comforter, one who comes come along side or comes to one’s aid – to help, Helper.
John 14:16-17(NASB) I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that isthe Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
He’s your Teacher and Guide
John 14:25-26(NASB) “These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
John 16:12-14(NLT) “There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now. When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own but will tell you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future.He will bring Me glory by telling you whatever He receives from Me.
He empowers you
Romans 8:11(NLT) The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
He prays for you and through you
Romans 8:26(TPT) And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super-intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words.
