Thoughts

We have said, over the past several years “If you want things in your life to change, you’re gonna have to change some things in your life!”
The first thing we need to change is the way we think.
Proverbs 23:7 (TPT)
For as he thinks within himself, so is he.
Your thoughts determine: what you do – where you go – who you become!
Your thoughts determine your future!
· Today we are living the lives, many years ago, we thought we would live.
· You may say – No, I thought my life would be different today. No, you did not! You are living what you thought.
· You may have had dreams of your life being different than it is today – but you did not hold your thoughts accountable to your dreams!
Proverbs 6:10 (TPT)
If you keep nodding off and thinking, “I’ll do it later,” or say to yourself, “I’ll just sit back awhile and take it easy,” just watch how the future unfolds!
Thoughts = Words = Actions = Results
Matthew 18:3 (TPT)
“Learn this well: Unless you dramatically change your way of thinking and become teachable, and learn about heaven’s kingdom realm with the wide-eyed wonder of a child, you will never be able to enter in."
Romans 8:5-6 (NLT
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. 6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
Matthew 22:37 (NLT)
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’
1. Recognize the Fight.
·Did you know that we are in a war every day?
We see the casualties everywhere—people falling from disease, divorce, depression and tragedy.
Looking around at all the suffering, we may think the battles are being lost in the hospitals and divorce courts. But in reality, we're losing the advanced and more important conflict— in our minds.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (ESV)
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
2.Think About What You're Thinking About.
Philippians 4:8 (NLT)
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
If you're a believer, you probably think some Scripture-based thoughts throughout each day, but think about this: Are you mixing them with negative thoughts or just any random thoughts that come into your mind?
“As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.” ― Henry David Thoreau
Mark 4:24 (AMPC)
And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.
Psalm 139:17 (NLT)
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!
Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
“God wants to purify our minds until we can bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, and endure all things. God dwells in you, but you cannot have this divine power until you live and walk in the Holy Ghost, until the power of the new life is greater than the old life.”
