Partnership

The Account of Creation Genesis chapters 1 and 2
·Genesis 1:9-13
·Genesis 1:20-23
·Genesis 1:24-25
Genesis 2:19 (NLT)
So the Lord God formed from the ground all the wild animals and all the birds of the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and the man chose a name for each one.
Genesis 6:6-9 (NLT)
The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. And the Lord said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.” But Noah found favor with the Lord. This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God.
·Moses and the Red Sea Exodus 14:16 & 21
·Water from a rock Exodus 17:56
·Naaman 2Kings 5:1-14
We use the Sovereignty of God as an excuse for inactivity. We pray, God take this away from me, – placing all the responsibility on God and His sovereignty so that if we don’t change, it’s not our fault – instead of praying Father, I surrender this to You, which is the position where we acknowledge we play a part in the process of change.
Your salvation, your journey, your progress, your level of freedom, the depth of healing you experience is all contingent on what you do with what He has done. It starts with receiving – but then we have to invest in what He’s done by doing something with it.
Our relationship with God is a partnership. Both parties have responsibilities and commitments.
·Proverbs 3:9-10 (NLT) Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.
·Psalm 50:14-15 (NLT)Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”
·Jeremiah 29:13-14 (NLT) If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord.
Luke 6:46-49 (NLT)
So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say? I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house right on the ground, without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.”
Partnership requires intentionality. It’s being purposeful to use only what He gives us and discarding everything else.
Bonus Scripture. Meditate on these, looking at the partnership aspect of each. Journal what is your responsibility and what is His.
·Romans 10:9 (NLT) If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

·Psalm 37:27 (NLT)Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever.
·Proverbs 2:1-5 (NLT)My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.
·Proverbs 3:1-10 (NLT) My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.
